Straight answers

Questions people actually ask

Will removing the locking nut damage my alloy wheel?

Not with the right kit. We use a dedicated extraction tool that grips inside the nut rather than hammering something onto the outside — that's what causes the damage you'll see from a rushed job.

How long does it take, and does the price ever change?

Usually 30-45 minutes for one wheel at the standard £69. Badly seized or corroded nuts take longer and need more aggressive extraction — if we see that on site, we'll tell you and requote before doing anything, never after.

I've got the key but it won't turn the nut — can you still help?

Yes, same service. A key that's worn or doesn't quite match still needs the same extraction approach as no key at all.

Should I buy a new locking nut set afterwards?

Worth considering if you're planning to keep the car — but not compulsory. Standard nuts work fine security-wise for most drivers; locking nuts mainly deter opportunistic alloy theft. We'll fit a new set on the spot if you want one, no pressure either way.

"Bought the car used with no locking wheel nut key anywhere. Tyre Rescue got it off in 40 minutes with not a mark on the alloy. Would've cost twice as much at the dealer, apparently."
