Mobile Puncture Repair, at Your Door

A nail in the tread does not have to mean a new tyre. Our fitters carry out proper vulcanised puncture repairs at your home or workplace — inspected, repaired and rebalanced to the British Standard, usually in under 45 minutes.

  • Permanent plug-patch repairs to BSAU159
  • Full internal inspection of the tyre, not just the hole
  • Wheel rebalanced after every repair
  • Honest advice — if it is not safe to repair, we say so
  • Replacement tyre on the van if a repair is not possible

How we repair a puncture properly

A safe puncture repair means taking the tyre off the rim. We remove the wheel, dismount the tyre and inspect the inside of the casing for hidden damage — something a quick external plug can never check. If the casing is sound and the injury sits in the repairable area of the tread, we fit a vulcanised plug-patch, reseat the tyre, rebalance the wheel and set the pressure.

That is the method the British Standard (BSAU159) requires, and it is the only kind of repair we will put our name to.

When a puncture cannot be repaired

Punctures in the sidewall or shoulder, injuries larger than 6mm, or tyres that have been run flat and cooked the casing are not safe to repair — no matter what a quick-fix kit promises. If your tyre falls into that category, we will show you why and can fit a correctly sized replacement from the van, so one visit still gets you moving.

Puncture Repair FAQs

A fixed price quoted up front — typically far less than a new tyre. If the tyre turns out to be unrepairable, we only charge for what we actually do and can quote a replacement on the spot.

Yes. A vulcanised plug-patch carried out to BSAU159 is a permanent repair that lasts the remaining life of the tyre, unlike temporary string plugs or sealant kits.

Most run-flat manufacturers advise against repair once the tyre has been driven on deflated, because the reinforced sidewall may be damaged internally. We inspect honestly and will fit a replacement run-flat if a repair is not safe.

Often yes, though sealant makes inspection messier and some types can compromise the repair area. Bring it to our attention when booking and the fitter will assess it on site.
